The purpose of this blog is to pay tribute to some amazing artists, who inspired a lot of the artists that you might listen to today.
Some have clearly covered a whole song, others used samples or just a visual inspiration for their own video-clips.

Some posts will just feature songs of different artists from different decades that are somehow linked by the same vibe.

There will also be 'specials' that will feature just one artist and part of his body of work.

I want you to discover in every post the flavour of the original and old, and how it was used to make something new.

Up to you to decide if you prefer the old or the new....
The important thing is that you know where it comes from.

Some of my very favorite oldschool-videos are on this blog.

A lot of them are my favorites because I love the song, some because I love the cute tackiness and the scenario and choreographie, others because I love the artist, but all of them because they make me smile!
